How to Build a Floating Wood & Pipe Shelf
#gaming #shelf #diy #woodworking #woodwork

In this video we go through our full process on building a custom, floating wood & pipe shelf for our gameroom. We needed a shelf solution to house our soundbar and add some storage, but also to hold an Xbox One which is very heavy for a floating shelf. This is what we came up with!! We hope you enjoy the process and hope that we can help you on your next DIY project!

Hi, loved the video and is really close to what I’m looking to doing but I want my floating shelve to be thicker. I’m guessing I would have to purchase a different type of wood? First timer here 😅 would really appreciate your feed back!

Hey great shelf and video. Did you drill the 2×2 into the studs in the wall? If you did or did not what screws did you use to drill the 2×2 to the wall.

Hey partner. I’ve worked in a pine mill for a long time. Interior softwood, like those 1×12 are DO NOT have a square factory edge. They are not required to be PET or Precision Edge Trimmed like a dimensional stud. You will find they are also anywhere from 1/8 to 1/2 over length depending on the overall length. Nice work on the shelf.
